Lednice - Czech Republic

Last weekend the School organised a trip to Lednice which is around about an hours drive away from Brno and is very close to the Austrian border. The place was so beautiful and very picturesque. We got to have a tour of the lower floor of the Chateau which was very interesting and the building itself is so exquisite. After this we went on a boat to the other side of the park to a Turkish Minaret which we climbed to the top of. A whole 300 stairs, the first two levels were amazing as you could see everything and everything was supported by having walls going around, however the third level was just a gate like fence protecting the people from plummeting to their death which was rather daunting.

After this we went to a restaurant for a rather nice meal, I had a Chicken breast stuffed with fresh cheese and spinach onto of mashed potato.

And then we went to a torture museum before finishing the day in a wine cellar and doing some wine tasting!

This place was so so pretty and I would highly recommend visiting if you're ever in the Czech Republic and are near the Austrian border!

Much Love
